Use of E-Bikes and E-Scooters on School Property
To support student safety and follow Ontario law, we want to remind families of expectations regarding bicycles and scooters at school.
E-Bikes and E-Scooters
-
Students must be at least 16 years old to legally ride an e-bike or e-scooter with a helmet.
-
As a result, students under 16 are not permitted to bring e-bikes or e-scooters to school.
-
These devices cannot be brought onto or stored on school property.
-
Police may enforce these rules, which could include fines, confiscation, and parent notification.
Non-Electric Bicycles and Scooters
-
Students may continue to bring regular (non-electric) bikes and scooters.
-
These must be stored at designated outdoor bike racks.
-
They may not be brought inside the school building.
We appreciate your support in ensuring all students travel to and from school safely while following provincial and municipal regulations.
